2.8 million KM for investments to improve industrial resource efficiency and circular value chains in the agricultural sector

On the occasion of the published Public call for grants for investments to improve industrial resource efficiency and circular value chains in the agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EU4Agri-Recovery project funded by the European Union announces information sessions in Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka.

In addition to the announced info sessions, an info session will be held on Friday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. via the EU4Agri Facebook page. Through this public call, worth 2.8 million KM , the European Union will support investments in agricultural and food businesses that want to direct their operations to resource-efficient and cleaner production through green, digital and circular business models, as well as implement the principles of sustainability and improvement resource efficiency and ensure better access to markets and consumers through digitalization.

 

The main goal is to ensure the recovery of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the agricultural and food sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to reduce the negative effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic . The project makes an important economic and social contribution in the areas of hygiene and safety at work, workplace safety, and product innovation and digitalization.

 

entrepreneurs , cooperatives, micro, small and medium enterprises that are actively involved in the processing of agricultural products or primary agricultural production can apply for the public call .

 

Support funds per application can amount from 20,000 KM to 80,000 KM (without VAT) and can only be used to finance eligible expenses. For each project , the applicant must ensure his own co-financing in the amount of a minimum of 15% of the total amount of eligible costs of the proposed investment, while the project will finance a maximum of 85% of the total amount through the support measure. Eligible investments and costs refer to the acquisition of equipment, machines, tools, communication devices, hardware and software for control, monitoring , management and supervision of production processes, professional and consulting services. The realization of these investments aims to support the modernization of the agricultural and food sector and the improvement of the rural economy.

 

The EU4Agri -Recovery project is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in partnership with the Czech Development Agency ( CzDA ).
