In the first invitation of the Danube transnational Interreg programme for implementation by donors approved 54 projects . Among these projects is the project EcoInn-Eco-innovatively connected Danube Region, which leads and implements the Slovak Centre for scientific and technical information. The project budget amounts to Eur 2,435,534.45 and will last 30 months – from 1.12.2016. to 31.5.2019. In addition to industrial partners, the project involves 12 partners and three associates from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia.
One of the partners in the project is Regional Chamber of Commerce of Banja Luka whose task will be to take part in 5 of 7 work packages.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen co-operation between actors in the field of inovacionih eco-innovation, with special emphasis on the development and application of eco-technology in the Danube region. Development platforms, tools and networks the main innovation players, such as inventors, science centers, industry, SMES, investors, the public and decision-makers, will be gathered in one place. Stronger ties between the local inovacionih actors will facilitate transnational innovation ecosystem. The results of the project will bring benefits to the whole society, as it will be developed eco-innovation based on specific social and environmental needs and will be achieved by practice-oriented eco-technologies ready for their application. SMES will benefit from available solutions because their capacities and resources for eco-innovation can be limited.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- The development of specific tools and methods for cooperation in the field of eco-innovation
- Increase consistency between the demand of the production sector and offers research institutions with the aim of implementing the applicable research units environment and ecology
- Connect the actors in the field of eco-innovation and increase co-operation between representatives of innovative ecosystem with those who support different types of business
The result of the project
The main result of the project will be the improved conditions for co-operation between inovacionih actors and thus generating and development of eco-innovation based on social and environmental needs. The launch of smart solutions to assemble key players innovative ecosystem, will be created more innovative and more environmentally friendly as environment. Also, will be supported and cooperation between research institutions and the private sector. Will be increased linking of capital of eco-innovations and those who own capital. Will be generated by practice-oriented eco-technologies that are ready for use. Will be supported also and the transfer of knowledge in the field of research and development of eco-innovation in the Danube region.
