Addressing Skills Mismatching in the Green Sector through Digital Upskilling of VET

Project Holder: CESUR, Spain – www.cesurformacion.com

Role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Banja Luka Region: Partner

Duration: 2023–2025

Description: The main goal of the ADDUPT project is to enhance vocational education and training (VET), focusing on building qualification systems, improving the quality of learning processes, and most importantly, ensuring continuous professional development for VET teachers and trainers.

The ADDUPT project aims to implement the following activities:

  1. Strengthen the link between VET and green sector industries. An expert group will be formed, consisting of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, green businesses, VET institutions, and the Ministry of Education.
  2. Develop a sustainable operational mechanism for identifying green sector needs, enabling timely, targeted, and comprehensive assessment of skills and knowledge requirements. Once developed, a two-year labor needs analysis for the growing green sector will be conducted.
  3. Produce the “Green Sector Analysis: Trends and Changing Needs” report, assessing the current state of the green sector and workforce requirements.
  4. Develop a Handbook and Guidelines for VET planning, and deliver 30 hours of training on creating digital microlearning resources, linking VET teachers more closely to the labor market in the green sector.
  5. Introduce VET teachers to digital microlearning concepts, developing at least 20 microlearning resources.
  6. Develop one VET program as a concrete guideline for integrating green sector skills into vocational education.
  7. At least 66 VET teachers will participate in capacity-building programs and virtual mobility, equipping them to integrate green labor market needs into educational processes.
  8. Enhance VET teachers’ skills in developing digital microlearning resources to modernize vocational education delivery in green topics.
