Supporting a smarter & innovative Open Lab network in the Euro-MED area

Description:

The main goal of the Sole MED project is to establish an international network of collaborative spaces across the Euro-MED region and provide support for open innovation, business opportunities, and training models for youth in startup development.

The project will implement specialized training focusing on sustainable bioeconomy for youth aged 18–30, combining concepts of value chain development in open innovation and the bioeconomy.

• In 2025, Sole MED will develop a comprehensive database of active collaborative spaces and startups in the bioeconomy sector across six MED countries.
• In 2026, the Chamber will establish a physical and virtual open laboratory equipped with advanced technology. A methodology for operating the laboratory and an action plan will also be prepared.
• During the second half of 2026 and the first part of 2027, a detailed training program for startup teams in the bioeconomy sector will be developed, and training will be delivered to 30 participants.
