Promotion of Financing Innovation in South-East Europe (PROFIS)

Description: PROFIS contributed to the improvement of the innovation environment in South-East Europe and expanded information on the availability of financial resources. Business service providers also strengthened their capacity to develop new services in the field of innovation financing. PROFIS organized training and consulting services for women innovators, aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge for successfully presenting innovative ideas.

Results: PROFIS organized national innovation competitions in eight countries and a South-East Europe regional competition. It developed an online tool to connect innovators with potential investors, strengthened the capacities of 28 innovation support organizations, prepared 135 projects for early-stage financing, produced 10 official documents at both national and South-East Europe levels to improve innovation financing measures, and carried out activities to raise awareness and promote women innovators.
